Grab your shamrocks and your Guinness – it’s time to take a 30 minute trip to Ireland with New York City-based Irish Party band: Basket House Band. Comprised of Noah Chase, a New York Native, along with Peader Hickey and Vonnie Quinn who both hail from the Irish Motherland, Basket House Band is usually found in bars, restaurants, and parties around NYC. They play weekly residencies with their friends at O’Donoghue’s in Times Square, as well as acoustic sets at Moloko in Brooklyn, NY. Noah does an incredible job keeping pace with his djembe, and also plays the mandolin while singing. Vonnie is a gorgeous violinist and sings backup vocals. Peader is the heart of the band, playing lead guitar and singing with his natively beautiful Irish accent. Though the band enjoys a good party, there’s nothing like performing on stage. They also played some classics, such as ‘The Ferryman,’ ‘Whiskey in the Jar,’ and ‘I Ain’t Gonna Work Tomorrow.” It’s hard not to get on your feet when Basket House plays. Their upbeat rhythm is undeniably catchy and even makes your heart dance. These wonderful musicians caught the enchanting essence of their country, and have brought it across the ocean for us all to enjoy!
